Description
An important pair of 950/1000 solid silver candelabra made by the silversmith Leroy, characteristic of the geometric aesthetic of the Art Deco period.
Each candelabra rests on a polylobed base with chamfered corners, featuring an architectural design, from which rises a faceted stem surmounted by an octagonal ring finial. From this stem extend four elegantly curved candle arms, each ending in a circular drip tray, forming a balanced and harmonious composition.
The design combines the geometric rigor of the volumes with the fluid curves of the arms, typical of the 1930s style. The polished silver surface highlights the facets and captures the light, accentuating the sculptural character of the whole.
